Team India’s coach Anil Kumble’s term is about to end and the question in everyone’s mind is that who will be the next head coach of the Indian Cricket Team. Will he be an Indian Coach? Or someone from Australia or England?
In the middle of these controversies, former Australian cricketer, and one of the greatest spinners of all time, Shane Warne has given a shocking statement. He said that the BCCI can not afford him.
According to mid-day, Warne has been quoted as, “I am very expensive and I don’t think they (BCCI) can afford me. Virat Kohli and me can have a good partnership, but as I said, I am very, very expensive.”
BCCI is the richest cricketing board in the world. And even after this, giving statements like this can lead the spin-wizard into a problem.
Talking about the selection of the coach, Anil Kumble is an automatic entry in the process of selection. Other popular names are Australian Tom Moody and Englishman Richard Pybus. From India, Virender Sehwag, former fast bowler Dodda Ganesh and former India A coach Lalchand Rajput are some names in the list of applicants.
