Revival of the veteran racer, Fernando Alonso, surprised everyone as the Spanish driver managed to lock the front row behind the 2022 Driver’s World Championship leader Max Verstappen. Both of them will be competing from the front row today starting at 11:30 PM onwards (IST).

The second row is confirmed by Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz who managed to clock the third-best time. However, Charles Leclerc who was looking strong until last week faced some serious engine-related issues. The Monegasque driver will be facing a grid penalty and therefore, will be starting last because of certain new components that have been introduced in his F1-75. Today, Ferrari fans will be routing towards Sainz and Leclerc’s comeback but would they be able to meet our expectations? Well, only time will tell.

After multiple sessions, Hamilton finally managed to outqualify his teammate, George Russell and locked the second row along with Carlos Sainz. The third row has been reserved for Haas as both the drivers managed to push their respective VF-22s to lock this particular row. To be a little more precise, it was Kevin Magnussen who managed to keep his teammate Mick Schumacher at the bay. As per the data, P6 has been Mick’s best finish in F1 qualifying till date.

Other drivers lined up just behind Haas are Ocon, Russell, Ricciardo and Zhou. Valtteri Bottas driving for Alfa Romeo bagged the 11th position. Meanwhile, Alex Albon (Williams Racing), Sergio Perez (RedBull), Lando Norris (McLaren) and Pierre Gasly (Alpha Tauri) will be starting the race from the back of the grid. Aston Martin, after performing well at the practice sessions couldn’t do much. As a result, both Vettel and Lance Stroll followed by Latifi, Leclerc and Tsunoda will be the exact lineup for today’s Grand Prix.
