FOOTBALL : India-Britain set for a joint venture for new coaches

FOOTBALL: Britain and India are all set to make a football based programme between them. The programme is basically for their respective league that is for English Premier League (EPL) and Indian Super league (ISL).

After a discussion for a week with Coach Educators Jez Weeks and Graham Robinson at Navi Mumbai. In an interview with media Pratap Singh Patwal, the Referee Development Officer of the All India Football Federation said, 

“Most of the referees who attended previous Premier Skills courses are now performing at a national level. The impact I witness is their psychologically positive approach to the game of football”.The course will help them understand the different aspects of refereeing in addition to the qualities they need to develop into a more complete official,”

The basic idea behind this Joint Venture was to provide around 17 coaches and 30 referees from each region of India with the knowledge and skills to run their own training courses with their communities.

From India, there were participants from seven states, including 4 coaches from the host state of Maharashtra.
