Saddening news coming in from the footballing world as the Argentinian legend Diego Maradona has passed away due to a heart attack as the information is being provided. He was 60 years of age.

Several weeks ago Maradona underwent emergency surgery due to health complications and as reported by the doctors it was a cardiac arrest that took the life of the Argentinian legend.

It was at that moment when Argentina won the World Cup in 1986, Maradona was the captain who leads the team from the front. He was exceptional on the field and produced match-winning performances in many matches.

During his club career, the legend played for Napoli and Barcelona and also won 2 Serie A titles with the Italian side.

Maradona will be remembered as one of the greatest soccer players in the world. The magic he produced with the ball and quality of visionary passing will always be admired by the young blood.

He will also be remembered for his 2 goals that he scored in the quarter-finals of the World cup 1986 against the England team. It was Maradona who played a big part in winning the World Cup for Argentina.

The second goal scored by Maradona in that game is somehow known as the goal of the century.

People will remember the phrase “Hand of God” by far to remember the legend as he scored a goal of such quality with some of his head and other by the hand of God against England.

Many legends have paid their tribute including the likes of Pele who is also a former great from that time.
