Football legend, Diego Maradona has started counting days for his Kolkata visit and he is way too excited. This excitement is all about meeting the ‘Prince of Kolkata’, Sourav Ganguly.
The former Argentine footballer is scheduled to come to India 18th September till 20th September, at the time of Durga Puja. Expressing his excitement on his official facebook page, Maradona said”Just 100 days to go for my Kolkata visit and meet ‘Prince of Kolkata, Dada’.”
He will play an exhibition match on 9th September with Sourav Ganguly in which Colombia football legend Carlos Valderrama is also likely to join. As per the organisers, Maradona will send autographed boots for Dada which he would have to wear in the match.
Satadru Dutta, who is promoter of the event siad, “Bhaichung Bhutia, Jose Barreto, Jo-Paul Ancheri and IM Vijayan have confirmed participation. While there will be Manoj Tiwary, Deep Dasgupta from the cricket fraternity. From the Bollywood industry, we are in talks with Ranveer Singh.”
According to Dutta match will take place at the Aditya School of Sports in Barasat. It will be having a capacity of 20000 spectators but only 5000 will be on sale, the rest will be booked by sponsers.
Maradona will also inaugurate his statue at a pandal in lake town.
