Germany played against Italy in the UEFA National League Group stage on June 15th at Borussia-Park stadium.

First Half

Germany started the game with a kick-off. They were looking good as they began to dominate the game right away. ITA wasn’t letting them take away the game so easily, as a great attempt was made by them but was saved by the goalkeeper of GER.

Joshua Kimmich got cross near the goal post as he didn’t miss the chance as GER took the lead by 1-0 in the 10th minute itself.

In the 45th minute, there was a foul done by A.Bastoni as he pushed J.Hofmann, which led to a penalty in the added time. Gundogan didn’t miss the opportunity to double the lead by 2-0 as he scored the penalty.

Secound Half

ITA surely needed to do something extraordinary to win. As the second half started, GER started their attack as they achieved their third goal in the 50th minute. Thomas Muller hits the ball into the nets of ITA.

In the 68th minute, there came an amazing run by the players of GER as Serge Gnabry came in as the substitution of Jonas Hofmann, passed the bowl to Timo Werner, converting it into an amazing goal and leading the game by 4-0. In the next minute itself, he scored another goal. Two quick goals for GER made them steal the game from ITA.

There wasn’t any hope left for ITA to win, while in between, Wilfried Gnonto scored a tremendous goal, keeping the hopes still alive.

They got a corner in the 90th minute which was converted into a goal by Alessandro Bastoni.

At last, Germany won by 5-2 against Italy. Timo Werner was the player of the match for scoring two goals and also showing a true striker’s instinct.
