Hitman Hits Back! Rohit and Surya powered MI to a dominant win over Chennai Super Kings (CSK).

After a long wait in this IPL season, the Hitman Rohit Sharma marks his comeback with an amazing match-winning knock in the El Clásico of IPL.

El Clásico of IPL is known as the match between the two most successful franchises of IPL, Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings, with five trophies each.

Chennai Super Kings defeated Mumbai Indians in the first half of the IPL.

Match Details

The 38th match of the IPL was all set to be played at Wankhede Stadium.

MI and CSK were all set to face each other. Hardik Pandya won the toss and elected to bowl first.

Chennai Super Kings Innings

Shaik Rasheed and Rachin Ravindra opened the innings for CSK.

Ashwani Kumar, in the fourth over of the match, took the wicket of Rachin.

Mitchell Santner, coming to bowl the over after the powerplay, took the wicket of Shaik, and in the next over, Deepak Chahar took the wicket of Ayush.

Ravindra Jadeja and Shivam Dubey handled the innings and started to form an important partnership.

Going on, Shivam completed his half-century; Jasprit soon after took his wicket, stopping him from converting his innings big.

In his next over, he took the wicket of Mahendra Singh Dhoni, while, on the other hand, Ravindra Jadeja completed his half-century.

With Jadeja and Dube knocking off 50 runs, CSK managed to make up a total of 176 runs for the loss of five wickets.

Mumbai Indians Innings

Rohit Sharma and Ryan Rickelton opened the innings for MI.

They both started to smash the bowlers from the start; Rohit was seen in great form.

Ravindra Jadeja gave them the first breakthrough in the form of Ryan.

Suryakumar Yadav came in to bat and started to support Rohit.

They both were scoring runs and hitting boundaries from both ends, and soon completed their half-centuries.

In the end, they both took MI towards an easy victory and also boosted the NRR.

Hardik in Post-Match Conference when asked about Rohit Sharma’s form: “You don’t have to worry about Rohit Sharma’s form when he’s gonna come, he’s gonna come good like this and when he comes, the opposition will be out of the game.”
