Match Details

After winning the toss, Hong Kong decided to bowl first as they put India up for batting.

The Indian team was seeking to bring the form of their batsmen back as the match was against a weak team.

KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma started the inning by achieving boundaries and rotating the strike.

Rohit got caught out as he tried to pull the ball away, but the fielder caught it.

Virat came in to bat, and as was known, his form hadn’t been good in the past few matches.

It was time for Kohli to regain his form, as he stood in between rotating the strike and clearing the boundaries as needed.

Surya Kumar Yadav, the new shining star for India, supported Kohli as he stood on the other side.

They both together formed a partnership of 98 runs and even achieved their fifty runs.

Kohli was seen in form after a long time, which was a relief to the Indian side.

Overall, he hit four sixes in the last over and six in his entire inning as IND pulled up a total of 192 runs.

Babar Hayat and Kinchit Shah knock made them bring up a total of 152 runs.

However, they lost the match by 40 runs, but their confidence got raised.

By putting up a total of 152 runs on the board, they became the first-ever associate side to achieve the benchmark of 150+ runs against India in T-20Is.
