India played the last T-20I against the West Indies on August 7th at Lauderhill.

After winning the last match, IND had already taken over the series and this was just a formality game for them because, whether they win or lose, they have already conquered the series.

The West Indies was looking to win their last game.

India changed their main playing XI as Rohit Sharma, the Indian captain, took a rest from the match and Hardik Pandya was made the captain.

IND won the toss and elected to bat first.

First Innings

Ishan Kishan and Shreyas Iyer opened the innings for IND.

They’re both off to a great start for the Indian team. There were boundaries, quick singles, and doubles in every over.

Dominic Drakes didn’t let the partnership grow much as he took the wicket of Ishan.

Shreyas and Deepak Hooda kept going as Iyer completed his half-century and they both formed a partnership of 76 runs.

Their partnership put IND in a strong position as Deepak lost his wicket to Hayden Walsh.

In the next over, Holder gave another breakthrough to IND in the form of Iyer.

The short knock of 28 runs by Hardik brought IND to a total of 188 for the loss of seven wickets.

Odean Smith took three wickets in limiting the IND team.

Second Innings

Jason Holder and Sharmarh Brooks opened for the WI side.

Axar Patel gave the first breakthrough to the WI team on the third ball of the first over itself as he bowled Holder.

The IND bowlers weren’t letting any of the WI batsmen settle down as they were giving them frequent breakthroughs.

Shimron Hetmyer tried from one side alone to achieve the total as he also completed his half-century.

The Indian bowlers did an amazing job as they stopped the WI batsmen for just a score of 100 runs as they took all their wickets.

Ravi Bishnoi took four wickets, and Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav each took three wickets to help IND win the match.

Axar Patel was the Player of the Match for his bowling figures of 3/15. Arshdeep Singh was the Player of the Series for taking seven wickets in the series.
