India achieved a clean sweep against Sri Lanka, as they won all three matches.

Team India is on the tour of Sri Lanka, which consists of 3 ODI and T-20I matches.

Suryakumar, the new captain of the T-20I for India, is in charge of this series.

And the new head coach, Gautam Gambhir, has taken over the responsibility.

India already won the first two T-20I matches and was all set for the third one.

Match Details

The third and last T-20I of the series was going to be played on July 30th at Pallekele.

Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bowl first.

India Innings

Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill opened the innings for India.

They both tried to give India a great start, but in the second over, Jaiswal lost his wicket.

Sanju came in to bat, but in the next over, he also lost his wicket.

Following the Rinku wicket in the upcoming over.

India got three quick breakthroughs as Suryakumar also lost his wicket in the powerplay.

There were several frequent breakthroughs, one by one, as no one was able to stand strong.

With the short knocks by Shubman at the start and Riyan and Washington at the end.

India managed to make a total of 137 for the loss of nine wickets.

Sri Lanka Innings

Pathum Nissanka and Kusal Mendis opened the innings for Sri Lanka.

They started to form a good partnership and was going well.

Ravi Bishnoi broke their partnership as he took the wicket of Pathum.

Kusal came in to bat as he and Mendis were taking the match away from India.

Ravi brought India back into the game again as he took the wicket of Mendis.

In the next over, Washington Sundar took two wickets and pushed back Sri Lanka.

Suryakumar made a shocking decision, calling Rinku to bowl the nineteenth over.

He took two wickets in the nineteenth over, and in the last over, the captain himself came into the bowl.

He took two wickets and led India to tie the match, which was almost lost.

Super Over

Washington Sundar came to bowl the super over as he took two wickets of Sri Lanka.

Now, India needed only 3 runs to win the match, as Suryakumar smashed a four on the first ball and won the match.
