India, after winning against Pakistan and the Netherlands, was in a strong position in the World Cup.

They are also considered the biggest competitors for the Cup.

After losing against South Africa by a short margin, India will be seeking to win this match and be at the top of the table.

If India wins today, they will extend their chances of qualifying for the semi-finals.

Whereas if they lose today, then it will be a neck-and-neck situation regarding who will qualify.

India and Bangladesh faced each other on the 2nd of November, 2022, in Adelaide.

Bangladesh won the toss and elected to field first.

India Innings

Adelaide is also considered the home ground of Virat Kohli, as he has played some phenomenal knocks here.

KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma opened the innings.

KL is still searching for his form, while Rohit has played 50+ in this World Cup.

Mahmud Hasan dropped the catch by Rohit at the start itself.

He came back in the next over and took the wicket of Rohit, giving India a breakthrough.

KL and Virat kept going as KL came back into form.

He hit some marvelous shots and completed his half-century but lost his wicket in the next ball.

Suryakumar, the man in form, came to bat, and his cracking shots added quick runs to the total.

The knock by Virat of 64 runs took India to a total of 184/6.

With this knock, Virat Kohli became the leading run-scorer in ICC Men’s T20 World Cups.

Bangladesh Innings

Najmul Hossain Shanto and Litton Das opened for the Bangladesh side.

Litton was looking dangerous as he played great shots and even completed his half-century soon.

He gave Bangladesh the best start they could get.

The match was interrupted by rain, after which it was reduced to 16 overs.

Bangladesh needed 151 runs in 16 overs. Litton has already brought them into a good position.

While an outstanding throw by KL sent Litton back to the pavilion, and since then the downfall of Bangladesh has started.

Arshdeep’s two wickets in a single over pushed back the Bangladesh team.

In the next over, Hardik, striking from the other end, took two wickets.

The bowlers performed excellently and saved the game.

India won by five runs, and Virat Kohli was elected as the Player of the Match.
