New Zealand came to India for the tour of three ODI and three T-20IS.
India won the ODI series by 3-0 as they also became the best ODI team in the World.
After winning the series by 3-0, India took the first position in the ODI rankings.
Now it was time for the T-20I series to be played.
First Match
The first match was played at Ranchi stadium.
India won the toss and elected to field first.
Finn Allen and Devon Conway opened the Innings for New Zealand.
They both gave a great start to their team as they were scoring good runs.
In the fifth over Washington Sundar gave them their first breakthrough in the form of Finn.
The same over Washington gave them another breakthrough.
However, the knock of Daryl Mitchell of 56 runs gave them a good end.
New Zealand made a total of 176 runs for the loss of six wickets.
Shubman Gill and Ishan Kishan opened the Innings for India.
India lost their openers soon when Surya Kumar and Hardik kept IND alive in the game.
Washington’s fifty, in the end, took the match close when NZ won the match by 21 runs.
Second Match
The second match was to be played at Lucknow.
New Zealand won the toss and elected to bat first.
Finn Allen and Devon Conway opened the Innings for NZ.
Yuzvendra Chahal took the first wicket in the third over itself.
It was a tough ground to bat on as it was favoring the spinners.
The Indian bowlers were taking wickets in short intervals of time.
Everyone was taking wickets one by one as none of the NZ batsmen were able to score many runs.
NZ made a total of 99 runs for the loss of eight wickets.
Shubman Gill and Ishan Kishan opened the Innings for India.
Shubman lost his wicket as soon as it was getting difficult to bat on.
Ishan and Rahul took forward the Innings as Ishan got run out.
In the end, Hardik Pandya and Surya Kumar took the match to victory.
Surya Kumar four in the second last ball made India win the match.
Now the series is 1-1 and the winner of the series will be decided on 1st February at Hyderabad.
