The Kabaddi World Cup 2016 campaign didn’t start too well for the defending champions India, as they were defeated by Korea in the tournament opener here in Ahmadabad on Friday.

India started their campaign as favorites to win the tournament, as they have won the world cup championship on the last two occasions it was organized. However, despite being on top of their game and doing everything right, things didn’t go too well in the last 3 minutes of the game and India were handed over their first defeat in the every first match of the tournament. The margin of defeat was very small, considering the fact that India was in a very comfortable position right till the end of the match. At the end, Korea took the game with 34-32 on the scoreboard.
