India played their third T-20 against England on July 10th, 2022, at Trent Bridge.

After winning the first two, T-20 IND has already taken the lead and named the series. The series stands at 2-0.

Looking at the third T-20, ENG will be looking to end the series with a win. While IND will be looking to clean sweep.

IND rested their main bowlers and gave a chance to the new players.

First Innings

ENG won the toss and elected to bat first. The openers came out to bat as they got a wonderful start. There were fours and sixes from the beginning itself.

Avesh Khan bowled Jos Buttler, giving them their first breakthrough.

Despite the wicket loss, the ENG batsman kept on going and playing big strokes. IND was surely missing their main bowlers.

David Malan and Liam Livingstone started to build up a great partnership and set up a big score against IND.

Malan soon achieved his half-century as they both made a partnership of 84 runs. He Malan tried to slog-sweep, which ended up getting the top edge as Rishabh Pant took the catch.

Livingstone kept on going as, because of his knock, ENG reached a big total of 215 runs for the loss of seven wickets.

Second Innings

It was time for the IND batsman to chase down the big total.

Rohit and Rishabh came out to bat. There was a quick breakthrough for the Indian team.

Virat was seen back in form as he smashed a four and just after that a massive six as he gave it away. Got out for an unwanted shot.

IND was in trouble as they lost their top order for just 31 runs as they were at 31/3.

Surya Kumar Yadav and Shreyas Iyer took charge. The massive shots by SKY were mind-blowing as he achieved his half-century and together made a partnership of 119 runs, much needed for IND.

SKY lead the team from the front as he became the fifth Indian to score a century in the T-20 format.

All the hopes were upon SKY, as he was the man who could make the impossible possible and make IND win the match.

After hitting two fours and a massive six against Moeen Ali, he got out as it was the end of a sensational inning.

Awards

In the end, ENG won the match by 17 runs. Bhuvenshwar Kumar was chosen as the Player of the Series and Reece Topley as the Man of the Match.
