India makes it to the Asia Cup Final

    India after winning against Sri Lanka fixed their spot in the final of the Asia Cup.

    The Asia Cup consisted of eight teams which were divided into two groups of four.

    From the two groups, two teams from each group qualified for the top four stages.

    In the top four stages, India first beat Pakistan as they registered the biggest win in ODI against them.

    And then on the next day, they beat Sri Lanka and fixed their spot in the final of the Asia Cup.

    Match Details

    The 10th match of the Asia Cup was played between India and Sri Lanka in Colombo.

    India won the toss and elected to bat first.

    India Innings

    The Indian team was going to play for the third continuous day.

    Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill yet again gave a good start to their team.

    They were looking good and even playing great shots across the ground.

    Dunith Wellalage didn’t let them settle for long as he bowled Shubman.

    After Shubman in his next over he took the wicket of Virat Kohli.

    Rohit Sharma going on from one side completed his half-century.

    The 19-year-old boy Dunith showing his master class bowled Rohit as well.

    Ishan and KL handled the situation in between as they added some valuable runs.

    The young talented boy showed his class as he took five major wickets of India and stopped them at a total of 213 runs.

    Charith Asalanka also helped him as he took four wickets.

    Sri Lanka Innings

    Pathum Nissanka and Dimuth Karunaratne opened the Innings for Sri Lanka.

    The Pacers of the India team Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammad Siraj didn’t let them settle from the start.

    From the start itself, they gave three breakthroughs to the Sri Lankan team.

    Sri Lanka was in great trouble as Dhananjaya de Silva and Dunith after helping from the ball now trying to save them from the bat as well.

    The knocks by both of the 41 and 42 runs brought the game close.

    Kuldeep Yadav the main bowler who dismissed half of the Pakistani squad played a major role today.

    He took four wickets and Jasprit Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja took two wickets and made India win the match by 41 runs.

    With this win India made it to the final of the Asia Cup as another finalist will depend upon the winner of the Pakistan v/s Sri Lanka match.
