Recently the newly elected chairman of the ICC has hailed the Indian Cricket by stating that they are an important part of the world cricket and slowly but steadily they have found ways to navigate through the differences between them and the BCCI.

The ICC considers and admits a strong member like the BCCI is an important aspect for their revenues. However, the ICC and BCCI have been under some kind of dispute in recent times acknowledging the distribution of revenue.

During a virtual media conference, Barclay stated that they have found ways to navigate the differences as the BCCI also knows that we need Indian Cricket. The fact cannot be neglected that India is the most important part of world cricket right now.

He also cleared his views on the Indo-Pak Bilateral series as he would love to see that but also understand and considers the geo-political agenda that can come in play anytime.

He also had his say on the World Test Championship as it has not gone as they intended it to go. The trouble caused by the pandemic has only welcomed the shortcomings.

The schedule has been disrupted by the pandemic and now the points have been allocated according to a certain percentage as all the matches cannot be held before the final that would take place at 20201 Lords.

Another Hint that was dropped by the chairman was that this inaugural WTC could very well be the last one as everyone could not afford it.

His personal views are to reallocate the points and do the best as they can do during this tough time.

After the points are allocated they need to get to the drawing board and understand weather this WTC fits their purpose or not.

The New Zealand lawyer asserted that they need to look at the context of the calendar and not put the cricketers in a difficult situation.
