The first T-20I match of the three match series between South Africa and India.

India won the toss and elected to bowl first.

It was time for the Indian team to test their bowling attack and explore their options.

India rested their main bowlers, Jasprit Bumrah, Bhuvenshwar Kumar, and Hardik Pandya, and gave chances to Harshal Patel, Deepak Chahar, and Arshdeep Singh.

It was time for the bowlers to prove themselves and fight back well.

The pitch is great for bowling as it is green and will have great swing and seam.

South Africa Innings

Quinton de Kock and Temba Bavuma opened for the SA side.

Deepak Chahar came to bowl the first over himself and took the wicket of Captain Temba.

Arshdeep Singh was criticized in the previous matches for poor bowling and fielding.

He proved everyone wrong as he took three major wickets in the second over, sending the first order of SA back to the pavilion.

After the second over, which was bowled by Arshdeep, SA scored 4-8.

Deepak Chahar, the next bowler, did the magic again as he bowled, and Arshdeep took the catch.

After the first three overs, half of the SA batsmen were sent back to the pavilion.

It was seen as if they wouldn’t be able to play all twenty overs.

On the other hand, they made a total of 106/8 thanks to Keshav Maharaj’s 41-run knock.

India Innings

After the bowlers performed well, it was time for the batsman to perform.

SA bowling is also considered the best bowling attack, so it will be a great task for the batting unit.

Rohit and KL opened the innings for the Indian side.

They both gave a slow start, as Ragiso did when he took the wicket of Rohit.

After the wicket of Rohit within some overs, India lost their second wicket in the form of Virat Kohli.

SA bowlers were given a good fight when KL and Surya Kumar handled the situation.

They both together took the team to victory and even completed their fifty-yard runs.

KL Rahul finished the game in style as he ended the match with a six and also achieved his half-century.

In the end, Arshdeep Singh was chosen as the Player of the Match. India took a 1-0 lead in the series.
