The Indian cricket team’s six-match limited-overs home series against England was scheduled for September. It is likely to get postponed along with New Zealand A’s visit of England. The postponement comes in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the BCCI has not yet made any formal statements regarding the same.

BCCI Apex Council will have a meeting on Friday. India’s Future Tours and Programs (FTP) calendar will be among the main topics of discussion during it.

According to reports in the British media, the white ball tour is likely to happen in September 2021. Even if the situation in India did improve by this September, there was very little possibility of the England team coming to India. This is because on the largely increasing coronavirus cases in the country.

BCCI president Sourav Ganguly in an interview said that the Board is planning for a camp in August if the situation allows. However, no matched can take place in India considering the on-going pandemic.
