BCCI’s selection committee is expected to announce the team for four-test series against Australia on Tuesday. The series, which commences in Pune on 23rd February, will have other tests played at Bengaluru, Ranchi and Dharamshala.
The selection committee will mostly retain the same team which played Bangladesh recently. Indian team defeated Bangladesh by 208 runs on Monday to complete their sixth straight series win under Virat Kohli.
There is still no word on Mohammad Shami, who had injured himself while playing against England. He has also lost his father recently, in case of no update about him, the four-member pace attack is likely to remain the same. At the same time, Amit Mishra is also out of the team due to an injury and chinaman bowler Kuldeep Yadav was given a slot in the team against Bangladesh.
Australian team has arrived in Mumbai and will play a practice game from February 17 before going to Pune for the first test.
