Indian Women’s secures an easy win against Australian Women’s

India women's team is getting applauded.

The Indian women’s team for the first time wins a test match against Australia Women.

Australia Women are on a tour of India, which includes one test, three ODIs, and three T-20I.

Match Details

The first test match was played from December 21st to 24th.

Australia Women won the toss and elected to bat first.

Australia Women’s First Innings

Beth Mooney and Phoebe Litchfield opened the innings for them.

Phoebe got run out in the first over itself as Beth and Ellyse took forward the Innings.

Soon, Ellyse also lost his wicket as Beth and Tahlia handled the situation.

She soon completed her half-century with her knock and the 40-run knock by Beth.

Australia Women made up a total of 219 runs as Pooja took four major wickets and Sneh took three wickets.

India Women’s First Innings

Shafali Verma and Smriti Mandhana opened the wickets for them.

They gave an outstanding start to their team as Shafali lost her wicket to Jonassen.

Smriti completed her half-century as Richa also started to score runs.

She soon completed her half-century as Smriti lost her wicket.

Jemimah came in to bat, and she also played an outstanding knock of 73 runs.

The ending knocks by Deepti of 78 runs and Pooja of 47 runs took India to a total of 406 runs.

Australia Women’s Second Innings

Beth Mooney and Phoebe opened the innings for them.

They tried to have a good start for their team as Beth got run out.

Ellyse and Tahlia handled the situation as they formed an important partnership for Australia.

Ellyse played a knock of 45 runs, while Tahlia played a knock of 73 runs.

No other batsmen were able to score many runs, as they lost all their wickets for a total of 261 runs.

Sneh Rana took four major wickets, while Rajeshwari and Harmanpreet took two wickets each.

India Women Second Innings

Shafali Verma and Smriti Mandhana opened the wickets for them.

Shafali lost her wicket in the first over only as Richa came in to bat.

They took forward the inning as Richa lost her wicket to Gardner.

Smriti and Jemimah helped the Indian women win the match by eight wickets.

Sneh Rana was chosen as the Player of the Match for taking 3/56 and 4/63 wickets in the match.
