Whenever we talked about IPL, there is one name which clicks in our head. That name is ANDRE RUSSELL. This Caribbean cricketer made a huge impact for his franchise from the time he joined KKR.  It was Sunday afternoon in Kolkata, Eden gardens stadium. The host were in big trouble as they were chasing the target of 182 and in the last 3 overs they required 53 runs. With the experience of SRH bowling line up it’s seems impossible to chase that target. But Andre Russell had got some other plans, first he scored 19 runs in the 18th over and then targeted the most experience bowler, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and scored 21 runs against him. He played a wonderful knock of 49 of just 19 balls and his heroics he was also adjourned Man of the Match.

#6  7 BALL OVER BY RAVICHANDRAN ASHWIN

Ashwin and controversy, that’s what happened till now with the Kings X1 Punjab skipper R.Ashwin who has he bowled a 7 ball over in 9th match of IPL 2019. There was some sort of confusion regarding the first delivery of the over, later the umpire stated that he, confirmed with the official scorer that the first ball was called dead ball.  It’s been a tough challenge for the skipper to take the role of lead spinner and skipper simultaneously.

#5 WARNER-BAIRSTOW PUT THE HIGHEST OPENING PARNTNERSHIP

WARNER-BAIRSTOW, THE NEW AGE BROTHER OF DESTRUCTIONS

SRH, who was considered as one of the contender to win the 12th season of the IPL is making a high statement this year. The opening combination of David Warner and jonny Bairstow can be termed as “JAI-VEERU” as the way they are playing it seems they meant to play with each other. Both complimented each other in a great fashion and on Sunday they put up a record breaking first wicket stand of 185 runs. Later on, both scored the tremendous centuries where Bairstow made 114 and warner made 100. This combination is turning out to be the nightmare for every bowling attack.

#4  NO BALL SAVES RUSSELL, AS HE TAKES MATCH AWAY FROM PUNJAB

From the day of first match till now its been a hard time for the Punjab skipper Ravichandran Ashwin to control his decisions and team. In a match against Kolkata knight riders, the situation were balanced KKR were 153-3 in 16.5 over. Shami bowled a perfect Yorker and disturbed the tinder of Russell’s wicket but it turned out to be NO BALL as the 3 fielders were present in the circle and according to rules  4 fielders has to be in the 30 yard circle during non-powerplay overs. Russell made use of that chance and scored another blistering innings of 48 runs of just 17 deliveries and took the score to 218-4. This turned out to be a game changing scenario as the visitors fell short by 28 runs.

#3 CURRANS HATTRICK STUNS DELHI,LOST 7 WICKETS IN  JUST 9 RUNS

CURRAN BECOMES THE YOUNGEST IN IPL HISTORY TO TAKE HATTRICK

Who would have thought that a team will be cast away with 23 needed of 20 balls. This incident occurred last night when the capital lost their 7 wickets with just putting 9 runs on the board. A lot of people will be disheartened by seeing this sight of Delhi capitals. The platform was well set for the easy win but suddenly Delhi’s batsman was cluttered by Curran and Shami. Curran takes hattrick as he dismissed Harshal, Rabada and Sandeep and becomes the youngest ever in history of IPL to achieve this milestone.

#2 A NO BALL CONUNDRUM RESULTS ANOTHER LOSS FOR RCB

KOHLI GOT FURUSTRATED DUE TO NEGLIGENCE BY THE UMPIRES

Its all happening in IPL , another no ball incident took place but this time its the negligence by umpires who were responsible for that. The incident happened between RCB and Mumbai in M. Chinnaswamy stadium where the match was on his final minutes. RCB required 17 from 6 with ABD on the crease. The match was perfectly balanced till the last ball. With 6 needed of the last ball it was Shivam Dube who was on the strike, Malinga bowls a good length delivery which carries to long on fielder but later, it was witnessed that Malinga clearly over-stepped the popping crease which means it was NO-BALL. Kohli was very livid with the situation and why he won’t be.

In the post presentation Kohli said, “We are playing at the IPL level and not playing club cricket. The umpires should have had their eyes open. That is a ridiculous call at the last ball. If it is a game of margins, I don’t know what is happening. They should have been more sharp and careful out there,”

Moreover MI Skipper was also shocked and said “I just got to know when we crossed the rope. Somebody just told me it was a no-ball. These kind of mistakes are not good for the game of cricket, it’s pretty simple, the over before that. Bumrah bowled a ball which wasn’t a wide ball. Those are game-changers,”

#1 ASHWIN MANKAD BUTLER, WHAT IS MORE IMPORTANT RULES OR SPORTSMANSHIP

Ravichandran Ashwin captain of Kings XI Punjab talks with Jos Buttler of Rajasthan Royals during match 4 of the Vivo Indian Premier League Season 12, 2019

This is where the trouble started for the Punjab skipper R. Ashwin. RR and KXIP were playing their first match of the season. The stage was set for the nail biting finish as RR needed 64 runs in 7 overs. With buttler on the crease it seems pretty much easy for the home team. In the last ball of 14th Ashwin appealed for mankad as buttler was way ahead of the popping crease.   Ashwin took the bails off quickly. In a while he was given out as Article 41.16 of the ICC proves this action. But according to some experts and cricket enthusiasts  this action by Ashwin is wrong as buttler hadn’t got any official warning from any of the bowler. Most people were in the favor of buttler. Some raised questions whether is it against the sportsmanship or not.
