There’s no stopping Star India as they already have employed around 90 commentators for the upcoming season of IPL. The commentary will be done in many different regional languages of India apart of English and Hindi. Few commentators will work from the spot itself in the UAE and others will operate from the studios in Mumbai. The commentators residing in India will be bringing live pictures and commentary for the IPL fans across India and the world.

IPL 2020 World Feed Commentators: Live Feed which will be distributed all around the globe

The BCCI has decided to with experience and has picked Sunil Gavaskar, Murli Kartik, Michael Slater, Simon Doull, Pommie Mbangwa, L Sivaramakrishnan, Deep Dasgupta, Rohan Gavaskar, Harsha Bhogle, Matthew Hayden and Anjum Chopra to be involved in the commentary for the World Feed of Dream11 IPL 2020. These commentators will be present in the UAE and will be working across the 3 emirates which include the likes of Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

IPL 2020 Hindi Commentators: From the Location

Another news coming in from the BCCI as Ajit Agarkar and Akash Chopra has joined the panel for Hindi commentary and will be operating from Mumbai for Star Sports. It is expected that they will be joined by other Hindi experts who will also be operating from the studio in Mumbai.

IPL 2020: Harbhajan will also be part of a new show on IPL 2020 & Hindi Commentary team from Mumbai Studio

The turbanator Harbhajan Singh had pulled out of the IPL due to personal reasons and will not be competing and helping the Chennai Super Kings in this year’s IPL 2020. However, all is not lost for Harbhajan as he will still connect with IPL and will a part of the commentary team. He will be joined by the other Hindi Commentators. Reports confirm that Harbhajan Singh has already signed a deal with Star Sports but the official announcement is yet to be made.

It is also mentioned through InsideSport that Star Sports have planned to introduce a special show with Harbhajan Singh being a special part of it. The tweet from Harbhajan Singh has made it quite clear even though there is no official statement.

IPL 2020: 90 Commentators to bring LIVE FEED to IPL FANS in various languages

Star India which is the official host broadcaster for IPL 2020 has already declared that IPL 2020 has already become a very unique aspect in the cricketing world and will definitely leave behind a benchmark. According to Disney Star India’s Chairman, Uday Shankar had predicted recently that IPL 2020 will deliver 550Mn+ audiences in India alone.

Shankar also gave insight into the Star India’s broadcast & production plans for IPL 2020. He disclosed that IPL 2020 will see 90 commentators, seven fully customized broadcast feeds across languages and 18 hours of live and special programming throughout the day.

In an interview with TOI, the boss of Star India said that there has never been any viewership problem in any season of the IPL but this time they expect more than ever. Their expectation is quite high as they are keen to keep 90 commentators with different languages and hope to cross TV viewership of 550 million in India alone. The broadcast will be taken live across 100 designated countries.

IPL 2020: Star India has also created its own bio-bubble for its 700+ crew

Star India as always has created humongous plans to deliver bigger, better and safe IPL 2020 this year. According to Shankar, this time the challenge is much bigger because the official broadcaster also needs to make sure every crew and team member stays completely safe from the pandemic.

Shankar also mentioned that they are going to leave a benchmark for the upcoming sporting activities on how to conduct a tournament safely with the use of Bio-secure bubble. They are looking forward to managing 700+ crew members across the 3 stadiums in the UAE under all the COVID-related SOPs for 60-75 days. There’ll be a bio-secure bubble in Mumbai to entail 400-plus staffers across six floors of the production facility. Rigorous testing protocols for all staffers entailing pre-screening, testing before entry, and periodic testing during the stay. Stringent sanitization and social distancing protocols at production facilities and multiple zones are being set up to keep teams separated.

Everything is up and running and the fans are quite excited to witness the opener between the Mumbai Indians and Chennai super kings which will be played on 19th September. The season will run for another 53 days and will end on November 10th.
