The anti-corruption unit of BCCI consists of 8 members and the team is led by Ajit Singh. The main motto of the team is to prevent any kind of wrong happening or doing in the upcoming 13th edition of Dream11 IPL 2020. The team landed in the UAE on Tuesday.

The members of ACU are under a quarantine period of 6 days to avoid any sort of complications. The members will be keeping an eye on the players are expected to teach and educate them through video counselling for now.

The captain of the team Mr Singh believes that there won’t be any complications in the conduction of this season as it is conducted in a strict bio-bubble atmosphere.

All the matches will be played behind closed doors without any fans and further the fans will not be allowed to go through the team hotel. Many incidents have proved the wrongdoings of corruptors masqueraded as fans to visit or approach players.

The unit of ACU will meet and speak with all the players of all the franchises after their isolation period in order to cause awareness among the young players who are experiencing the limelight of IPL this season. Not to forget the senior players are well experienced and understand the protocols very well.

The sessions can also be conducted online with an individual player or any other such group depending on the gravity of the situation.

Singh also reported that have recruited sports integrity agencies which will help them monitor any sort of betting or any suspicious activity that is going to take place.

However, it has been accepted by the ACU as well that the bio-bubble protocol will make It difficult for the bookies or fixers to reach the players practically but will increase the chance of connecting with them on social media. This is why ACU will educate the players on how to deal with such scammers and corruptors.

Even in India, if we do need information, we do exchange information with ICC in order that stays how it is.  Nothing suspicious has been reported thus far we’ve two security liaison officers with each team.

“They are those who are keeping an eye fixed on the bubble,” added the previous DGP of Rajasthan Police.

The 2020 season of the IPL is going to be played for 53 days from September 19 to November 10 across three venues within the UAE — Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, and Dubai.

The final match is going to be played on a Tuesday, to form it the first-ever IPL to possess its final on a weekday. The matches this season also will start a half-hour before their original time of 4 PM and eight PM.
