Adam Zampa has been brought in by the Royal Challengers Bangalore to fill the slot of Kane Richardson who pulled out of the tournament to be with his wife on the birth of their first child. The Australian leg spinner has been given a chance to showcase his potential and have a good impact on the team balance.

On the other hand the RCB franchise are in the support of Kane’s decision and quite excited for him and his wife for the birth of their first child. They respect his decision and wish him all the best.
The team already has a brilliant spin attack with the likes of Moen Ali, Yuzvendra Chahal and Washington Sundar. The presence of Adam Zampa has made their bowling attack even stronger.
The team director of RCB Mike Hesson explained that they will miss the match winning skills of Kane as he was on top of his game and has the ability to turn the game single handedly.
There is always positive in everything and Hesson believes that Zampa will provide the side with some extra options and if the pitch is suited for spinners then their side would initially take advantage of the conditions with their spin attack.
The youngster from Australia will be playing his only second season of the IPL as earlier he had represented in the team of Rising Pune Supergiants.
The youngster was left unsold last during the auction where as Kane was brought by RCB for 4 crore.
Currently both Zampa and Richardson are in England on national duty for Australia. They will play 3 T20s and few ODI’s between 4th of September until 16th of September.
The 53 day tournament will be held in the UAE and will kick start on September 19 and will run until November 10.
