As the new sponsor has been on board, the Indian Premier League had come out with a new logo in terms with their sponsors.
The Indian Premier League has launched and revealed its logo for the 2020 season after the new title sponsors were confirmed. The official Instagram page handle of IPL shared a story with the hashtag of “#Dream11IPL” and asked the fans if they liked it. The defending champions were no behind in sharing their views on the logo and posted on their Instagram by captioning “Now taking guard, #Dream11IPL”.
It was confirmed on Wednesday by the BCCI that the fantasy cricket league platform Dream11 is now the face and title sponsor for the 2020 season of Indian Premier League.
Dream11 had taken charge by bidding an amount of Rs 222 crore to stand tall against all the competitors in the race to win the title sponsorship. This happened because Vivo and BCCI suspended their contract amid the border conflict.
BCCI received around Rs 440 crore per year during the deal with Vivo. Dream11 has outbid huge companies like Byju’s, Tata Sons, Unacademy to bag the deal and win the sponsorship for this year’s IPL.
The all exciting season of cricket is set to begin as the 13th edition of IPL is set to kick off on September 19. It was originally scheduled to begin on March 29 but due to the outbreak of the virus, the event was delayed. Still, due to the increase in the number of cases in India, IPL is all set to begin in the UAE. Teams have started to leave for UAE as KXIP and Rajasthan Royals Already departed where they will be quarantined. On the other hand, Chennai Super Kings and Royal challengers Bangalore is set to leave for UAE on Friday.
