The grandest stage of them all, the Indian Premier league is only 3 weeks away but unexpectedly BCCI has not yet released the official schedule of the upcoming 13th edition of the Dream11 IPL which is set to take off from September 19. Everyone has just one question on their lips including the players, fans, broadcasters: When is the schedule being released and why has it been delayed?

According to a report carried out by Insidesport where they initially got in touch with Chairman Brijesh Patel who is currently operating in the UAE and asked him regarding the delay where he said that he knows that the delay is more than expected but the team’s are taking stock of nearly everything including the recee of the venues. He also assured everyone that the schedule would be out before the end of this week.

All the authorities along with the IPL GC members and event managers IMG team is in the UAE in order to finalize the required number of decisions for the smooth conduct of World’s Greatest cricket league. The BCCI had scheduled a meeting with all the authorities to finalize everything.

On the other hand, the Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma has already dropped hint on the opening game by declaring it as Mumbai Indians vs Chennai Super Kings on September 19. Even though the schedule has not been released by the Governing Council of IPL but still the captain of Mumbai Indians have left a huge hint on the opening match of the IPL.

While paying a tribute to the Captain Cool Mahendra Singh Dhoni on his outstanding career, Rohit Sharma also pointed out their opponents of the first game and that is known to be Chennai Super Kings. Check out the tweet below to understand the whole story.

This confirms that the opening match will be between the Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings but the venue is still a doubt as to the match is not decided if it will be played in Dubai or Abu Dhabi.

The 13th edition of IPL will be a 53 day long with 10 days of doubleheaders. In the case of doubleheaders, the first game would be played at 3:30 pm and second would start at 7:30 pm.

Looking at the tweet, the Mumbai Indians skipper called MSD as the most influential men in the history of cricket and also reminded the people of the fact that everyone will him in the blue jersey but he will continue to play in the yellow for Chennai Super Kings.

Rohit Sharma also tagged the former Indian captain on his post and said he will meet him at the toss on September 19.

Dhoni and Rohit are the two most successful captains of the IPL. Dhoni had ultimately shouldered the responsibility of taking CSK to 10 playoffs out of 11 seasons and winning the title three times. On the other hand Rohit Sharma was appointed the captain of Mumbai Indians in 2013 and since then has led them to four great triumphs.
