The Chennai Super Kings could use the Mid Season Transfer very well as they look to strengthen their batting order with an experienced batsman to change their fortunes. It can be Anjikya Rahane currently cooling heels within the Delhi Capitals camp without getting a chance to play.

There’s only one change made by the BCCI regarding the Mid Season Transfer as this season the Capped players will also be available for transfer, unlike last year.

The only criterion is that the capped players shouldn’t have played quite two games.
Some big names that could be considered by Chennai Super Kings are Chris Gayle, Tom Banton and Chris Lynn. It is expected that Du Plessis will act down the order and Lynn or Banton will be awarded to play higher up in the order. Rahane has opened the batting also as played within the middle-order.

After the match against the RCB side, it was Ms Dhoni who blamed the batsmen as they were unable to chase down another total.

Dhoni spoke after the match and said that they lacked powerful innings from any of their players after the sixth over. He believes that each player needs to have their own mindset as to how they are going to play and then bat according to the plan.
