Big news coming in from the team of Delhi Capitals as they have declared the former Australian pacer and 2009 IPL winner as their bowling coach for the upcoming 13th edition of Dream11 IPL starting from September 19 in UAE.

The reason behind the replacement has been reported as personal reasons of James Hopes. James hopes has served Delhi Capitals for two seasons as a bowling coach. Reports have confirmed that Harris is set to replace James Hopes.

Harris in response has shared his thoughts to the media by saying that he is delighted to be back in the IPL and is eager to contribute to the franchise in order to be the worthy winners of IPL 2020.

He further added that the Delhi Capitals have amazing pacers and a really impressive bowling attack. He is looking forward to start his work with all of them.

Harris has had an amazing journey in the IPL. He lifted the trophy back in 2009 as a player performing for the Deccan Chargers. Now he is all set to join the team consisting of high profile leaders and coaching staff which includes Mohammad Kaif, Ricky Ponting, Samuel Badree, and Vijay Dahiya.

Injuries has been a major concern for the Australian pacer and as a result he announced his retirement in 2015. Ever since he has been involved in coaching assignments with Australian team. He has also served Brisbane heat and Kings XI Punjab in their respective leagues.

The squad of Delhi Capitals along with their support staff have landed in the UAE on Sunday and are set to have a go in this year’s Dream11 IPL 2020.

The Grandest stage of cricket will not be taking place in India due to the Corona virus pandemic. The tournament will be held in UAE across three venues of Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and Dubai starting from September 19 till November 10.
