Lately there’s been a lot of criticism coming through Dream11 being said that they are associated with some Chinese investors. In response to this the fantasy league sports platform have replied by saying they are a completely homegrown Indian brand.

One Dream11 spokesperson also cleared that Dream11 is a completely homegrown Indian brand and they are proud to say that the entire product and technology of the Dream11 platform is created and developed within India and is exclusively available for only Indian sports fans and users.

They also cleared that majority of their investors are from India and the Chinese-origin people hold a minor stake on their platform.

The spokesperson also explained that Dream11 is completely owned by Indians as you can look at the founders along with the 400+ Indian employees. On the other hand they also have Indian investors such as Multiples Equity and Kalaari Capital. Out of the total 5 investors there is only one investor with Chinese-origins and holds a really small minor stake.

As we already know that the Indian government has banned 59 Chinese apps due to the rise in tension at the Indian-China Border. The tension was at it’s peak to boycott Chinese products as well when 20 Indian Soldiers were killed in the Galwan valley clash in June.

This can be considered as the major reason for BCCI ending their ties with VIVO as it is a Chinese smartphone company. This is the reason recently Dream11 has taken charge of the sponsorship by bidding at INR 222 crore.

As Dream11 is the only sports brand to sponsor IPL, they knowingly take great pride in sponsoring the Major event.

The official also added to his words by saying that the Indian sports fans have missed a lot of sporting action due to the virus. Due to this IPL will be the most watched season in India this year. The season is excitingly awaited by the fans.

It is also believed that this year’s IPL could break all the previous records of sports consumption.

It is also reported that during the lockdown and in the absence of mainstream cricket, the Indian fantasy sports fans were involved in consuming non mainstream cricket leagues from the Covid-19 free regions such as ECS or Vincy premier league.

He concluded by saying that they are aware of the situation and will focus on increasing their brand awareness by increasing the number of Indians from 8 crore+ Indians to 10 crore+ Indians.

The exciting and the most awaited sporting event in India is all set to kick off from September 19 in the UAE and will run until November 10.
