The coach of Chennai Super Kings Stephen Fleming is quite concerned on the form of Ravindra Jadeja and Piyush Chawla as they suffer a 44 run defeat against the Delhi Capitals.
Jadeja has thus far picked up just two wickets within the tournament and within the last two matches, the spinner has gone for runs. He ended up conceding quite 40 runs in his quota of 4 overs within the matches against Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Capitals.

On the opposite hand, Chawla has picked up four wickets within the tournament thus far, but the spinner conceded 55 runs from his four overs within the match against Rajasthan Royals.

The coach expressed his views and explained that spin has been a strong aspect of CSK since the past 12 years and this is the reason for his worry and concern and therefore they try to seek out a special personality, so spin definitely plays a neighbourhood,” Fleming said while responding to an ANI query during the post-match news conference.

On the other hand, CSK played 3 matches in 3 different grounds and this is the reason for their struggle as all the grounds had different conditions. We are struggling to regulate and find the pace and elegance to bowl through the centre. we’ve not bowled well within a previous couple of games, so we’d like to rectify that,” he added.

CSK was unable to chase a complete of 176 against Delhi and was restricted to only 131/7 stumbling to a 44-run defeat. Dhoni once more came bent bat at number six and walked bent the bottom with CSK at 98/4 within the 16th over.

Fleming also mentioned the reason as lack of key players in the team when he talked about the chase against the Delhi Capitals and for now they are looking for team balance which will make them competitive enough. Again it involves the spin bowling aspect, we are looking to develop a personality on the sort of pitches we are becoming. We try to seek out a mixture without Raina and Rayudu. Their performance was not up to the mark against the Capitals. it’s been a stimulating six days and now we’ve got the time to rectify the problems and there are a couple of of them.”

When asked on why CSK opted to bowl first against Delhi, Fleming replied: “Yeah, we did believe batting first against Delhi, the dew aspect may be a bit hit and miss a thing at the instant, we are guessing a touch in terms of conditions, we are learning on the hop and a few of the things we learnt against Delhi will really be valuable.”

CSK has played three matches within the IPL thus far and has managed to secure a win in only one against Mumbai Indians.

The men in yellow will now face the men in orange as Chennai is set to take on the Sunrisers Hyderabad on 2nd of October at the Dubai International Stadium.
