KKR chief executive Venky Mysore has suggested that the IPL mega auction, which is close to requiring place next year, should be postponed keeping in mind this example. The 2020 IPL will come to an endways November 10 while subsequent year’s IPL is perhaps getting to be played in April-May.

The 2020 IPL will finally begin during a couple of days time after novel Coronavirus postponed the commencement of the cash-rich league, this year. But as long as IPL will endways November 10 and thus subsequent IPL are getting to be played after few months, KKR chief executive Venky Mysore reckons that it won’t be a nasty idea to postpone the IPL mega auction which can happen next year. Other franchises have also expressed that they are getting to need time to think on the blocks for the auction because it takes plenty of preparation for such a huge event and it should be postponed for one year.

According to espncricinfo it is expected that the next season of IPL will be delayed which is a good move as the time period between this season and next season quite small. The further necessary actions will take place for the edition of IPL that is planned to start in April-May.

This is not the first time that the mega auction is being pushed back as it has happened before during the time when 2 out of 8 IPL teams were banned from the IPL. There wont be any problem is the decision is made as we wait and watch the result.

The 13th edition of the IPL is getting to be played from September 19 till November 10 within the UAE across three venues – Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah. KKR will combat Mumbai Indians in their first game on September 23 in Abu Dhabi. Last year, the Dinesh Karthik-led side has finished at fifth position and may look to make amends now around.
