Keeping hopes alive, Sai Praneeth enters into Thailand Open final

Sai Praneeth
Sai Praneeth has made it to the final of Thailand Open 2017 after beating the local player Pannawit Thongnuam by 21-11, 21-15 in just 36 minutes.

The 24-year old and Singapore Open champion, B Sai Praneeth is on the path to claim his second international title. In his semi-final match on Saturday, he defeated Pannawit Thongnuam 21-11, 21-15 in just 36 minutes. He has now reached the finals of Thailand open Grand Prix 2017, which will be held on Sunday.

Third seeded Praneeth will now play against fourth seeded Jonathan Christie in the finals. He is expected to start as a favourite as Jonathan is ranked 3 places below him, and also because of the incredible form he has shown in this tournament.

Sai has not lost a single game in this tournament. On Saturday also, he showed a high standard in his game and made Thongnuam struggle to tackle the cross court dribbles. Thongnuam tried to attack in the second game but it made no effect on Sai as he was smart enough to mix his shots.
