The tour of Sri Lanka is going to come to an end as only the last two ODIs are remaining.

After winning the first ODI India has already taken the lead in the series.

They will be looking forward to winning another match and sealing the series.

Sri Lanka after losing the match with a huge margin will be trying to win the match and equalize the series.

Match Details

The second ODI was to be played at Eden Gardens, Kolkata.

Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bat first.

The pitch was going to be helpful for the bowlers and will create difficulties for the batsmen.

Sri Lanka Innings

Avishka Fernando and Nuwanidu Fernando opened the Innings for Sri Lanka.

They both started to play well together giving SL a good start.

They both went well together when Mohammad Siraj gave them the first breakthrough.

Siraj bowled Avishka in the sixth over and sent the opener back to the pavilion.

As the match went on Nuwanidu completed his half-century.

The Indian bowlers were showcasing their talent by taking frequent wickets.

None of the SL bowlers other than Nuwanidu was able to score many runs.

One by one everyone went back as India took all their wickets at the score of just 215 runs.

Kuldeep Yadav and Mohammad Siraj took three wickets each and Umran Malik took two wickets.

India Innings

Rohit Sharma backed Shubman Gill as they both again opened the Innings.

They both gave a good start to the team when Rohit tried to cut the ball.

Rohit’s bat caught the edge as Mendis took the catch giving India the first breakthrough.

In the very next over SL bowlers also sent Gill back to Pavilion.

The Indian team was in great trouble as the top order wasn’t able to score many runs.

However, the short knock by Shreyas Iyer added some valuable runs to the total.

KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya took forward the innings as they built a great partnership.

KL soon completed his half-century and kept on going to make IND win the match.

KL’s knock of 64 runs made IND win the match.

Kuldeep Yadav was chosen as the Player of the Match.

IND took the lead by 2-0 in the tri-match series.
