India played their second match of the five-game T-20 series against South Africa on June 12th at Barabara Stadium.

After losing the last match against them, IND will be looking for a win. Whereas SA will be looking for another win after defeating IND and breaking their streak of winning 12 consecutive T-20 matches.

SA won the toss and elected to bowl first to make IND come to bat and set up a score. As the openers came to bat, IND lost their first wicket in the first over itself in the form of Ruturaj Gaikwad.

The Indian batters seemed to be in trouble after losing their early wickets. After the first wicket went down, Ishan Kishan and Shreyas Iyer took charge and started to hit some classy shots.

Ishan hit two massive sixes against Anrich Nortje in the 4th over. They both looked strong together. Kishan was looking in great form. He got lucky as his catch was dropped by Wayne Parnell in the last over of the powerplay. While trying to clear the bowl for a six, he gave an easy catch to Rassie Van der Dussen. It wasn’t long enough when IND lost their third wicket.

Meanwhile, IND appeared to be in serious trouble when it came to scoring runs. Wayne Parnell clean bowled Hardik Pandya and in the next over, Shreyas Iyer got out.

IND lost their five wickets and didn’t even put up a hundred runs on the scoreboard.

Dinesh Kartik hit two massive sixes in the last over to take the total of IND to 148 runs for the loss of six wickets.

It was time for the bowlers to do some magic to win the match. Bhuvenshwar Kumar bowled Reeza Hendricks in the first over, giving SA their first breakthrough. Yet in his next over, Bhuvi took the wicket of Dwaine Pretorius.

Bhuvi came to bowl in the last over of the powerplay, and Rassie Van Der Dussen was out.

SA was in massive trouble as they lost their first three wickets for 29 runs.

Heinrich Klaasen came out to bat. Despite what was happening on the other hand, he was playing his natural game as he achieved his half-century. He single handedly made SA win the match. His outstanding knock of 81 runs made his team achieve the total.

SA beat IND by four wickets and took a lead of 2-0 in the five-match series. Heinrich Klaasen was named the Man of the Match for his memorable knock of 81 runs.
