According to the latest MRF Tyres ICC ODI Player Rankings, Indian skipper still remains at the top of the list followed by Australia’s David Warner, South Africa’s AB de Villiers, Joe Root of England and Babar Azam of Pakistan.
Tough there are a number of movements in the list, top five bowlers, batsmen and all-rounders remain the same. Former captain, MS Dhoni jumped three places above to 12th rank after scoring 154 runs in the series against West Indies. Ajinkya Rahane’s 334 runs in the series also gave him results as he reached his career-best 23rd ranking after jumping 13 places above in the list.
However, no Indian name is there in the top 10 bowlers and all-rounders lists. The bowling list is topped by Australia’s Josh Hazlewood and all-rounder list id headed by Shakib Al Hasan of Bangladesh. Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Ravichandran Ashwin had made their place in top-20 with 13th and 20th rank respectively.
Hardik Pandya in the all-rounder list has reached his career best 26th ranking after moving up 22 places.
