Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) move up to the top of the points table.

KKR, after winning their third consecutive match in the IPL, made it to the top of the table.

Since KKR started to open the innings with Sunil Narine, they have been performing outstandingly.

He has been an impactful and important player on the team.

The form of their entire team has been commendable in the IPL season.

Match Details 

The 54th match of the IPL was all set to be played in Lucknow.

The match was between Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and KKR.

Both teams defeated the Mumbai Indians in their last match and will be looking forward to another win.

LSG won the toss and elected to bowl first.

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) Innings 

Sunil Narine and Phil Salt opened the innings for KKR.

They both started great and were showing great shots.

They both were looking dangerous as Naveen took the wicket of Phil.

Sunil kept on going and hitting boundaries as he completed his half-century.

He was playing an outstanding knock when Ravi Bishnoi took his wicket.

With his knock of 81 runs, KKR has already reached a total of 140 runs in just 12 overs.

After his wicket, the strike rate dropped drastically, as they were also losing wickets.

In the end, the outstanding short knock of Ramandeep Singh of 25 runs in just 6 balls took KKR to a total of 235/6.

Naveen-ul-Haq took three major wickets, and Yash, Ravi, and Yudhvir took one wicket each.

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) Innings 

KL Rahul and Arshin Kulkarni opened the innings for LSG.

They both started to hit shorts, but Mitchell Starc didn’t let them go for long.

He took the wicket of Arshin in his first over, only giving them an early breakthrough.

Marcus came in to bat and he and KL handled the innings for a while.

Harshit Rana broke their partnership as he took the wicket of KL.

In the next two continuous overs, Deepak Hooda and Marcus Stoinis lost their wickets.

One by one, all the batsmen started to lose their wickets in front of the bowling attack of KKR.

LSG lost all their wickets for a total of 137 runs as they lost the match by 98 runs.

Harshit Rana and Varun Chakravarthy both took three wickets each.
