Leander Paes and Rohan Bopanna

Indian tennis players, Rohan Bopanna and Leander Paes are doing an impressive job in the Aegon Championship. India’s star player, Rohan Bopanna and his Croatian partner Ivan Dodig registered a win over Australian-American team of Thanasi Kokkinakis and Kyle Edmund while Leander Paes and his partner, Canada’s Adil Shamasdin won against Australian duo of John-Patrick Smith and Matt Reid. Both Indian have now advanced to the quarter-finals of the championship.

The Indo-Crotian pair of Bopanna and Dodig at the Queen’s Club won the first set 6-3 without any difficulty. However, the Australian-American made a comeback in the second set and registered a close 6-7 win. The third set was won 10-7 by Bopanna and Dodig hence making them eligible to play in the quarterfinals. They will now play against Finnish-Australian duo of Henri Kontinen and John Peers to reach the semi-finals.

While in another match, India’s Leander Paes along with Canada’s Adil Shamasdin made a comeback after losing 4-6 in the first set and defeated the Australian duo in other two games by 6-3, 12-10, hence booking their place in the quarter final clash with Belarus’ Andrei Vasilevski and Chile’s Hans Podlipnik-Castillo.
