Lewis Hamilton led teammate Valtteri Bottas in a Mercedes one-two in practice for Formula One’s 70th Anniversary on Friday.
The six-time World champion chased his fourth win in a row on Sunday, stretching his 30 point lead over the Finn. His lap was with a fastest time of 1 minute and 25.606 seconds using medium tyres. Bottas had been the fastest in the day’s first sessions. However, he was 0.176 seconds lower than Hamilton.
Red Bull’s Max Verstappen was best of the rest in the morning, 0.727 off the pace. Renault’s Australian Daniel Ricciardo filled the slot in the afternoon with Verstappen fourth.
