The workload of cricketers is always examine and take care by the team management. Sometimes players got dropped by the management just to give them some rest. It’s important to reduce their stress, so as to maintain their health physically and mentally.

But the 35 years old Lasith Malinga had changed this stereotyping thinking. He played 2 matches in a span of 12 hours. On Wednesday, Malinga took 3/32 FOR Mumbai Indians at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. Next day, he took a early morning flight to Colombo and moved to Kandy to play domestic 50 over match for his team Galle.

The match happened between Galle and Kandy where, Galle scored 255. Later, Malinga stars and took 7 wickets with 49 runs in 10 overs and the other team got dismissed on 99 runs only.

It is quite remarkable to see this kind of spirit from a 35 years old player. Moreover he got the permission from Sri lanka cricket to play IPL and he will be available for entire April. Malinga, who is the captain of Sri Lankan needs to be very careful about his health and fitness as his team will need his experience in the upcoming world cup. It’s very rare that a player moved to different country in a quick succession to play different type of cricket.
