The Olympic Games 2024 have kickstarted in Paris as India has started to win medals.

In total, 117 Indian athletes, including five reserves, are on the hunt for medals.

They will be competing in several games with all the other athletes.

Manu Bhaker became the first person to win a medal for the Indian team.

She was born on February 18, 2002, in Goria, Jhajjar district, Haryana.

Manu has had an interest in games since the very start.

In her early years, she was also involved in boxing, tennis, and skating and won several medals in national events.

After that, she developed an interest in shooting and has represented India since then.

She won several medals in different games for India.

In the 2018 ISSF Junior World Cup, she won three gold medals and a silver medal.

She won gold in a 10-meter air pistol and a mixed team 10-meter air pistol in Sydney.

In the same year, she won gold in a 10-meter air pistol and silver in a mixed team 10-meter air pistol in Suhl.

Since then, she has been winning medals in all the tournaments.

She has a gold medal in the World Championships and a gold medal in the Asian Games.

Nine gold medals two silver and two bronze medals in the ISSF World Cup.

Two golds in the Asian Shooting Championships and two golds in the Asian Airgun Championships.

Apart from these, she represented India in the Olympics last time but couldn’t win a medal.

This time she won a bronze medal in the Olympic game in a 10-meter air pistol.

And after that, a bronze in the 10-meter air pistol mixed team.

Sarabjot Singh

He was born on September 30, 2001, in the Jat village of Ambala.

Sarabjot has always had an interest in shooting and has won medals in several mixed-team events across the globe.

He was the partner of Manu, as they both won the bronze medal in the mixed team.

It was the first time India won a medal in the shooting event at the Olympics.

And they both wrote down history as they stood on the podium.
