Former India captain and present ember of Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC), Sourav Ganguly feels that the matter between Kumble and Kohli which caught heat after the ICC Champions Trophy 2017, should have been handled better.

Ganguly said, “The matter between Kumble and Kohli should have been handled a lot better, by whoever in charge. It was not handled properly.”

On the other hand, appointment of India’s coach on Tuesday took an interesting twist as former team director, Ravi Shastri applied for the job. Ravi Shastri earlier also applied for the same but lost to Kumble. Following this, Ravi blamed Ganguly to favour Kumble over him.

Ganguly has also been appointed in a seven member committee by BCCI which will look into the Lodha Panel recommendation. The committee will have a meeting on July 1 to discuss the reformation of the Lodha Panel.

On this, Ganguly added, “We did not have SGM last year. Till the reforms are done it won’t happen. We have informed the members of the meeting to discuss what’s the way forward.”
