The 54th match was going to be played at Wankhede, the home ground of MI.
The Mumbai Indians won the toss and elected to bowl first.
Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) innings
Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis opened the inning for them.
Virat, on the fifth ball of the first over, got a slight edge of the bat as Ishan took the catch behind the stumps and sent back Kohli.
In the third over, Anuj Rawat also lost his wicket to Jason Behrendorff.
Faf and Glenn Maxwell handled the inning well, as they were playing great shots.
They were both building a great and important partnership as they even completed their half-centuries.
With the knocks by both of them and the finishing knocks by Dinesh, RCB put up a total of 199/6.
Mumbai Indians (MI) innings
Ishan Kishan and Rohit Sharma opened the inning for them.
Ishan gave a great start to the team, as he was playing great shots across the ground.
While trying to hit the ball, Ishan gave a catch to Anuj and Wanindu gave MI the first breakthrough.
In the same over, he took the wicket of Rohit as the streak of low scores continued for him.
Surya Kumar Yadav, also known as SKY, and Nehal Wadhera took forward the innings.

He was hitting marvelous shots across the ground and bringing the match close.
Nehal was also supporting him from the other end, as he was also scoring runs.
Sky even completed his half-century, as his knock of 83 runs almost made MI win the match.
He wasn’t able to finish the match, but he almost did the job as Nehal hit a flat six and made MI win the match.
With this win, MI moved into third place in the points table.
MI set a new record for the most successful 200-plus-run chase.
