Pakistan Dominates Zimbabwe as They Clinch Victory in the ODI and T20I Series.

Pakistan’s tour of Zimbabwe, which included three ODIs and three T20Is, ended on a high note for the visitors as they secured series wins in both formats.

Zimbabwe started the ODI series strongly, pulling off a victory in the first match. However, Pakistan bounced back emphatically in the second game, leveling the series and setting up a decider.

In the third and final ODI, Pakistan delivered an outstanding performance to clinch the match and seal the series 2-1.

Carrying forward their momentum, Pakistan started the T20I series with a commanding win in the first match. They continued their dominance by winning the second match and securing the T20I series as well.

Match Details

The third T20I match was played on December 5 at Bulawayo. Although Pakistan had already won the series, Zimbabwe aimed to end the series on a winning note.

Pakistan won the toss and opted to bat first.

Pakistan Innings

Sahibzada Farhan and Omair Yousuf opened the innings for Pakistan. However, Zimbabwe’s bowlers struck early, with Blessing Muzarabani dismissing Omair in just the second over.

The troubles for Pakistan continued as Wellington Masakadza removed Sahibzada in the following over, and Usman Khan lost his wicket soon after.

Salman Ali Agha and Tayyab Tahir stabilized the innings briefly, but the Zimbabwean bowlers continued to apply pressure. Contributions from the lower order helped Pakistan reach a total of 132/7 in their 20 overs.

Blessing Muzarabani was the pick of the bowlers with two wickets, while Wellington Masakadza, Richard Ngarava, Tinotenda Mutombodzi, and Ryan Burl each took one wicket.

Zimbabwe Innings

Zimbabwe’s chase began with Brain Bennett and Tadiwanashe Marumani opening the innings. The pair provided a promising start, but Tadiwanashe was dismissed by Agha Salman early on.

Brian Bennett anchored the innings, building small partnerships with the incoming batters. His steady knock, combined with contributions from other batsmen, kept Zimbabwe in the game.

Despite losing wickets at regular intervals, Zimbabwe managed to hold their nerve in a thrilling finish. They secured the win in the final over, with two wickets in hand and one ball remaining.
