Parthiv Patel joins Mumbai Indians as Talent Scout

Parthiv Patel is a former Mumbai Indians player and has also won 2 IPL titles with them. However, it has been reported that Parthiv has joined the 5 times IPL champions again but this time as Talent Scout. He has also retired from all forms of cricket. During this season of IPL, he was a part of the RCB squad.

Following his new role with the Franchise, Parthiv spoke a few words and stated that his three years with the men in blue were momentous and the memories will always stay alive. He is delighted to turn up his role as a Talent Scout and is ready for his new journey with the Mumbai Indians. He further thanked the franchise on providing him with such a wonderful opportunity.

The 35-year-old has great experience as he has played international cricket which is supposedly spread for 2 decades and with the likes of domestic cricket as well. Not to forget he has been a part of every single IPL season from 2008, only 2020 was the year when he did not perform.

In order to reap rich dividends, the Mumbai Indians Franchise has shown faith in the process of scouting. The credit of unearthing Jasprit Bumrah ahead of the 2012/13 season is given to the former Indian coach John Wright.

Akash Ambani who is the team owner of the Mumbai Indians believed that Parthiv Patel understands the team’s idealogy and hence has been added to their list of staff members.

Akash Ambani was delighted to announce the return of Parthiv Patel to the franchise but with a different role this time. He further believes that his experience will ultimately help them in enhancing the scouting system as he understands the team’s ideology.
