Good news coming in from the Kolkata Knight Riders camp as their players from Australia and England will be available for selection and will be a part of their first official match in the Dream11 IPL 2020.
The CEO of KKR explained that the players travelling from England and Australia will not undergo any type of quarantine as they are visiting a bio-bubble from another secure bubble.
This proves that the players travelling from England or Australia will not undergo any mandatory procedure which is organized in Dubai. The protocols will be followed only when a player or member of the team tests positive.
The players will travel after their series end of ENGLAND-AUSTRALIA and will fly to UAE on the 17th of September. Even if they undergo 6-day isolation they will be available for their first match which is scheduled on the 23rd of September.
According to a report from ESPNcricinfo, KKR might quarantine 3 of their players however the talks are still going on with the higher authorities confirms the CEO of KKR.
He further added that there is no need to worry as after the arrival of players there are still 6 days remaining for their first game which is good for their team and good for the tournament.
The limited over cricket played between England and Australia includes the likes of Eoin Morgan, Pat Cummins and Tom Banton.
The defending champions Mumbai Indians and Knight riders are the only teams who have resided in the Abu Dhabi whereas the other teams are staying in Dubai and have no incoming from the England-Australia series.
The CEO of KKR shared his views with the medical team of IPL and explained how their players are travelling from one secure bubble to another.
The CEO of KKR has assured to carry the players on a charter flight which is sanitised thoroughly. He further took the responsibility of safe and proper immigration, testing and contactless stuff. The good news is that IPL had a look at the request and have taken the initiative to provide another Standard Operating Procedure which will allow the players to enter directly from one bubble to another without any isolation.
Another alternate fact that will be on the side of English and Australian players is that Restrata is the common factor which has operated and took the responsibility for the safe and secure bubble in both the UK and UAE.
This is a huge plus for the players as Restrata will actually work in their favour and they might not need to go any quarantine as they are travelling from one biosecure bubble to another. The players just need to test negative and then they are ready for selection.
