The race for the top two heats up as the IPL 2025 Qualifiers near—Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bengaluru emerge as the front-runners.

Gujarat Titans, Punjab Kings, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, and Mumbai Indians have already qualified for the playoffs.

Gujarat Titans led the table with 18 points after 12 matches, and they still had two matches to go.

Meanwhile, the Punjab Kings were on the second point with 17 points and two more matches to go.

Followed by Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the third position, with two matches left.

And the Mumbai Indians are on the fourth with two matches left as well.

Gujarat Titans

The great inform team of the Gujarat Titans started to tremble before the playoffs.

Firstly, they lost against Lucknow Super Giants, who smashed 235 runs against them, in which Mitchell Marsh played a dominating innings of 117 runs.

In return, GT was only able to reach a total of 202 runs and lost the match by 33 runs.

Their next match was against Chennai Super Kings on May 25th. CSK, batting first, scored a total of 230 runs, and in response, GT lost all their wickets for a total of 147 runs.

By this, their league stage ended at 18 points, which left the other teams to secure the spot.

Punjab Kings

Punjab Kings’ second-to-last match was against Delhi Capitals on May 24th in Jaipur.

PBKS, batting first, scored a total of 206 runs, and in response, DC chased the total easily and won the match.

The last match of PBKS is against MI, and whoever wins today is going to take the first spot at the points table.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru

RCB’s last match was against Sunrisers Hyderabad, in which SRH, batting first, scored a total of 231 runs.

In response, RCB lost all their wickets for a total of just 189 runs.

Their last match is against LSG on 27th May and will be a decider for them to reach the top two spots in the points table.

Mumbai Indians

Mumbai Indians’ last match was against Delhi Capitals.

Batting first, they made a total of 180 runs and stopped DC at a total of just 121 runs.

Which qualified them for the playoffs, and now if they win today against PBKS, then they will fix a spot in the top two.
