Rachin and Kane’s centuries pave the way for the Kiwis to reach the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 finals.

India reached the Championships trophy finals by beating Australia in the first semi-finals.

After that, the second semi-final was played on the 5th of March between South Africa and New Zealand.

New Zealand performing well emerged victorious and will be playing the final match against India on the 9th of March in Dubai.

Match Details

The second semi-final was played on 5th March at the Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.

The Kiwis won the toss and elected to bat first.

New Zealand Innings

Will Young and Rachin Ravindra opened the innings for the Black Caps.

They both started great and were making good use of the power play.

Lungi Ngidi stopped their partnership before it became big as he took the wicket of Will.

Kane Williamson came in to bat as he and Rachin were taking New Zealand towards a great score.

They both completed their half-centuries and kept on adding runs.

Rachin completed his century but soon after lost his wicket to Rabada.

Kane formed a short partnership with Daryl as he also completed his century but later lost his wicket.

Daryl played a short knock of 49 runs as Glenn also played a knock of 49 runs.

With the collective efforts of all of them, the Kiwis scored 362 runs, with a loss of six wickets.

Lungi Ngidi took three wickets, and Kagiso Rabada took two wickets.

South Africa Innings

Ryan Rickelton and Temba Bavuma opened the innings for them.

They both started great, but soon Matt Henry took the wicket of Ryan.

Rassie came in to bat as he and Temba formed short partnership and completed their half-centuries but lost their wickets soon after.

David Miller then stood strong in between and was scoring runs, but no other batsmen were supporting him from the other end.

He soon completed his half-century, followed by his century, but in the end, South Africa was only able to make 312 runs.

The New Zealand team won the match by 50 runs as they made their way into the finals against India.
