Former Indian cricketer, Rahul Dravid whose term as India’s Under-19 and India-A coach has been recently extended will most probably miss Under-19 team’s England tour. South Africa tour of India-A team was announced a while back and Dravid will be with India-A team restricting him to join the Under-19 team in England.
As a result, BCCI has decided to appoint a new coach for the Under-19 team for England tour. A BCCI official told TOI, “We’ll appoint a coach in place of Dravid for the India U-19 team.”
However, Rahul Dravid will supervise the pre-tour camp for the U-19 team, beginning on July 4 in Bangalore which will start without assistant coaches Paras Mhambrey and Abhay Sharma.
Rahul Dravid had been the coach of both teams and hid term has been recently extended by BCCI. Due to this, he will not be able to work as a mentor of Delhi Daredevils in IPL.
