Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) converts the 1% into 100%.

They qualified for the playoffs by winning a thrilling match against CSK.

The fight for the playoffs got serious as three teams had already qualified for the playoffs.

And only one spot was left, and RCB and CSK were competing for it.

The match between both of them was a do-or-die match to reach the playoffs.

Especially for RCB, they just didn’t have to win the match.

To have a better NRR than CSK, they had to win by a margin of 18 runs to chase the total in 18 overs.

Whereas CSK just needed to win the match or stop RCB from meeting the above criteria.

Match Details 

The 68th match of the IPL was played in Bengaluru between RCB and CSK.

CSK won the toss and elected to bowl first.

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) Innings 

Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis opened the innings for RCB.

They both gave an outstanding start to the team when rain interrupted the match.

After a few times, the game resumed as both of them didn’t lose the moment due to rain.

They continued to dominate the bowlers and score runs.

Going on, Virat tried to hit a six, but Mitchell took a phenomenal catch and got him out.

Faf continued and completed his half-century, as he got run out later.

Rajat and Cameron Green handled the situation from there, as they both started to hit great shots.

Both of their knocks and the short knocks by Dinesh and Maxwell took RCB to a total of 218/5.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) Innings 

Ruturaj Gaikwad and Rachin Ravindra opened the innings for CSK.

Glenn took the wicket of the man in the form of Ruturaj on the first ball.

Soon, Daryl Mitchell also lost his wicket as CSK got two breakthroughs.

Rachin kept the momentum from one end as Ajinkya supported him from the other end.

Going on, Ajinkya lost his wicket to Lockie Ferguson as Rachin later got run out.

Wickets kept falling in short intervals, as in the last over, CSK needed 17 runs to qualify for the playoffs.

MS Dhoni hit a massive six in the first ball, and Yash Dayal took his wicket in the next ball.

Yash bowled an outstanding last over as RCB qualified for the playoffs.
