Rohit Sharma clears fitness test at NCA, to leave for Australia on Dec 14

The hitman Rohit Sharma will be leaving for Australia on 14th of December as he cleared the fitness test on Friday at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru. He will be reaching there 3 days prior to the start of Test series.

The hitman missed the white ball tour due to a hamstring injury that took place during the IPL in the UAE. He will be available for the last 2 games in Australia.

On conditions of anonymity, a senior BCCI official reported that Rohit will be flying to Australia soon as he has cleared his fitness test.

Under the supervision of NCA director Rahul Dravid, the fitness test was acknowledged and then the clearance certificate was given by the NCA director.

To train for the last 2 tests, first Rohit Sharma will be quarantined for 14 days after his visit. Rohit Sharma will be landing in Sydney to get a week’s training there.

The skipper of the Indian Cricket team Virat Kohli spoke about Rohit’s injury and stated that after the injury there was no clear clue what was happening and a lot of confusion raised after the hamstring injury he got while playing for the Mumbai Indians.

The national selectors did not consider him as his injury kept him out for four games in the IPL.

The curiosity was much higher when he wasn’t selected but came back for the Mumbai Indians side and took them to another title.

In order to regain full fitness, the selectors had kept Rohit out of the limited-overs series so that he can play the Test series on being fit as reported by the BCCI on the 9th of November.

After winning the IPL, Rohit came back to Mumbai instead of flying to Australia with the rest of his teammates.

Kohli responded to the situation and said that he had no idea why Rohit had not shown up for his rehabilitation in Australia. To clear this confusion another press release took place by the BCCI on 26th November where they claimed that the opener coming back to India is because of his father’s illness.
